Do you buy books?
We do NOT purchase books. We have a Trade & Save Policy which allows you to bring books in and receive further discounts on books in the store. By bringing books in you can receive up to a 30% discount off of new books & 30% off used books with a red tag. You can also purchase select books for as little as 50 cents! Do you take CDs/DVDs or other types of media? We do NOT take music CDs, DVDs/Blu-Rays, old VHS/cassette tapes or Vinyl records. Rose’s Bookhouse has nearly 2,000 square feet of space, nearly all of which is packed to the gills (do stores have gills?) with books, books & more books! Even though we also enjoy music & movies as much as the next person, books hold a very special place in our hearts. I do believe, even if our store was to magically double in size (where’s a fairy godmother when you need her?), we would STILL be all about the books.
Do you take book donations? We CAN take book donations, BUT only under certain conditions. In a perfect world we would take each & every book we ever came across. Unfortunately, space & time are fixed limitations and we must stay within certain guidelines. Even if you just want to get rid of your books (whether it’s a large or small number) we still must follow the same guidelines as books being brought in for the Trade-in & Save Account. In short–no more than 40 paperback or 20 hardcovers/day and whatever we can’t use we have to give back to you.

Do you ship books? We are willing to ship AUTOGRAPHED books or books under special circumstances. Shipping rates do apply–call 636-272-5857 during business hours or e-mail Wendy at wendy@rosesbookhouse.com for details. We will NOT ship books to correctional facilities.
